Chiropractic is a safe and effective complementary medicine to help people of all ages with acute to chronic pain.
Chiropractic heals the body by correcting misalignments of the spine that can affect the functioning of the nervous system and improve/accelerate the healing process, improve flexibility, and ease pain.
Chiropractic treatment can range from joint adjustment or manipulation via manual chiropractic adjustment or conservatively, using an activator, SOT (Sacro-Occipital Technique) blocks or muscle manipulation.

BACKGROUND
Tanja will ask you some questions to understand your current condition. These are likely to include questions about the pain you're feeling and history of your condition.
For example:
When and how did the pain start?
Where is the pain felt?
Describe the pain—is it sharp, dull, searing/burning, or throbbing? Does it come and go, or is it continual?
Did the pain start as a result of an injury?
What activities/circumstances make it better or worse?
Is this pain something you've experienced in the past? If so, what treatment did you receive to address it?
CHIROPRACTIC ASSESSMENT
You may be asked to move in a specific way to help Tanja assess motion of the affected body part and to analyse your posture. Specific orthopedic and neurological tests may also be used to help assess your:
Range of motion of the affected body part(s)

Session times
Chiropractic is actually very quick!
20 - 30 minutes for initial consultations, long consultations and consultations after more than 12 months without treatment
10 - 15 minutes for subsequent treatments.
You may feel that this will not be enough time to make improvements. Please don't worry - Tanja will make sure you are fully treated each time! If your treatment runs beyond the scheduled appointment time, you won't be charged extra for that appointment.
We offer long consultations for conditions that regularly need more time to treat.
Length of treatment
Length of treatment over time depends on the severity of your condition and your improvement with treatment. Our aim is to get you back doing what you love pain-free as quickly as possible!
You can find Tanja's prices for each session on the 'Treatments' page.
There is a slight difference in price, depending on which practice you attend. Rest assured you will get the same, premium treatment from Tanja, whichever practice you book with.
